Internet Marketing 101

Posted by Revolution Tweeting

When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?

For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.

At its core, internet marketing is about these things:

* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads

Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.

My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.

My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers - as we do - and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.

However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.

Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.

Even though there are more sides to internet marketing than just email marketing (permission based), email has been the foundation that our business sits on.

The Way to Write Your Own Electronic Book

Posted by Revolution Tweeting

One of the best methods to gain standing, leads, credibility and trust from your clients is to write your own electronic book.

Many people are intimidated by the thought of making their own ebooks but the reality is, the process is terribly straight-forward and it can be terrifically profitable. If you’re already involved in activities such as blogging, article promotion and making relationships with newsletters, an ebook is just one step beyond in the whole process but can actually give your credibility rating an additional boost.

Here are 6 steps about the way to write your own ebook courtesy of Eben Pagan Ignition program:

1. Select a topic for your audience. Don’t make this into a massive product. Pick something comparatively narrow within a major topic. So, for instance, if the main topic is “internet marketing”, select something that fits within that category like “article marketing”, or you might go even further and narrow it down to “keyword research for article marketing”.

bear in mind that for an ebook to work the way in which you need it to, it must truly look at the problems, concerns, or wants of your market. The content must be top-of-the-line.

2. Brainstorm. Write down each idea you have, walk away and come back and write more. Put down anything and everything for now.

3. Organize your concepts into an outline. Divide your concepts into headers, subheaders, chapters and write descriptions of each point you include. Make sure to keep an eye on your references and write those down too.

4. Research. Hopefully you have picked a subject that you are familiar with already but whether you have or haven’t you’ll need to do research to make your content as valuable as possible. Take notes, mark references and use quotes as you write your own electronic book.

5. Put your organized ideas and research into a very long article of at least 30 pages - this is your ebook!

6. Get a second opinion . Chances are you’ll spend quite a bit of time on this endeavor. Make sure that you step back every once in a while to give yourself a break. And when you’re close to the end, ask some other person to read it for a more objective opinion. Whether it’s your mate, spouse or a fellow marketer, make sure you get a good, honest critique and, if feasible, edit of your work.

Once you are finished, you can either sell your e-book from your blog or website or you can offer it free for folks who sign up - the goal of this is to build your list.

If you decide on the 1st option, you’ll have to set up a shopping cart system. You don’t have to charge a lot for your ebook to make money and as it doesn’t cost anything to form the book (if you do not count the time you spend on it) so anything you sell will be a profit.

So now are you ready to pen your own ebook?

Article Directories - Can Help You Succeed Online

Posted by Revolution Tweeting

There are techniques approximately marketing your site.  And it is not even starting to cost you a cent ( only a little bit of your time ).  There are what we call net directories and article directories.  Net directories, merely, are directories of diverse classes holding website listings.  On the other hand, article directories are directories also accommodating varied categories where you can publish your articles.  Why name the two?  You will soon find out. If you would like a ready made option for building your online business read my Digibizpro review.

Straight off are net directories.  Were you aware that there tons of web directories exist all across the net?  What you do is you submit your website to these directories, and there you go prompt links to your web site!  Did you also acknowledge that the majority of those net directories are costless?  That is’s right, they will not bill you nothing ( maybe just several sporadic link back to their web site reciprocal linking ).  What matters is that a site is connecting back to your site.  If you exercise this with hundreds of other net directories ( thousands, if you’ve got the time and perseverance ), you would indeed realize that many web sites linking up back to you.  By doing so, your link popularity will increase.  Link popularity is the amount of links aiming back to your website ( the to a greater extent links, and the broader their PR, the better).  Its also the base on how search engines would rank your site.  If a search engine sees that you have high link recognition, they’d see your website to be important, and rank you appropriately.

Next are article directories.  I recognize what you are reckoning.  How would articles help your website engender traffic?  First rationality by presenting to article directories, you’ll have the opportunity to market your website thru the resource box or author’s biography.  Like web directories, several hundred article directories subsist.  And once again, they also are free.  What you need are directories that permit you give in and employ their other articles absolutely free.  Why exercise free articles?  2nd reason if your internet site is wanting substance and you would like folk to frequently see you, utilize these gratis articles as your net subject matter (always include the author and source).  With your internet site getting more subject, to a greater extent traffic will ultimately get to you. If you would like great guidelines on writing good content check out my DigiBizPro bonus package.

These are two modes of advancing your link recognition, pagerank, and naturally, traffic.  Apart from these, you can attempt stimulating inward links thru forum participation and link partnership with web sites that are affiliated to yours ( but that’s’s another story ).  I’m hoping you shall find this helpful, so enroll to net directories and write your articles immediately.

Backlinks and Search Engine visibility

Posted by Revolution Tweeting

back links

For any web page to be ‘ranked’ in the search engines and attract visitors it’s essential it has backlinks. To understand backlinks there are three elements you need to consider, the source from which the backlinks come from, the anchor text of the backlinks and what’s on the page to which the backlinks sends the visitor to.

The volume of backlinks

The majority of search engines consider the volume of backlinks to a page when deciding where this page should appear in the search results.

The origin of the backlinks

Backlinks are like votes with different ‘rights’ that relate to where they originate from So it follows that pages with backlinks from authoritative pages will receive better consideration from the search engines. Pages from sources such as educational (.edu) or government (.gov) sites naturally are attributed with more trust and authority.

Google Page Rank

Backlinks from web pages with high page rank (an attribute awarded by Google to any page that it has observed over a period to have attracted, sustained and continued to accumulate relevant backlinks) pass some of their page rank via the backlink to the target page.

The ‘anchor text’

When you see a backlink on a web page it sometimes has a label a word or text related to the subject at the page to which this backlink is pointing, what this ‘anchor text’ says has influence upon the value the search engines award to the link. If the content of the page is about ‘parenting’ and the backlink on the page is labeled or given the ‘anchor’ text ‘parenting’ then the search engines consider this to be of more value to the searcher looking for results related to ‘parenting’ than if the backlink was labeled ‘babycare’.

Common problems

Many people undermine their backlinks building activities because they fixate on quantity as opposed to quality of backlinks. For instance if the volume of your backlinks to your ‘parenting’ page originate from pages not related to ‘parenting’ then whilst you have backlinks they will almost certainly bring you the wrong visitors.

How to create backlinks

So let me tell you my fail safe process for getting backlinks that will make the search engines love you and bring quality and appropriate visitors to your web pages.

  1. When you start you should focus on selecting the right keywords.
  2. I like to build a keyword ‘cloud’.
  3. I most often start with a single ‘top’ level keyword or key phrase which has significant visitor traffic.
  4. The fastest and cheapest method to find out how much traffic a keyword or key phrase is getting is to use the Google keywords discovery tool.
  5. The Google tool displays a list of keywords related to my main keyword and from this list I build my cloud.
  6. I then create content in the form of articles and videos containing backlinks with the correct ‘anchor text’ to my ‘money’ or ‘target’ page and send these to a wide range of content directories.
  7. When I author content I do so with the visitor in mind so as each piece of content attracts backlinks to itself as well as sends backlinks to my target pages.

10 Unique Traffic Generation Ideas

Posted by Revolution Tweeting

Everybody wants guaranteed website traffic. It is not always simple to get more people to go to your site. There are paths to generate the specified traffic. It takes being creative and inventive occasionally; yet here are several ideas that may help.

1. Use Flickr. Social photograph sharing drives folk to your site. Add good tags to the photos so they attract the members on the site. Write a post in your blog and add the link to the Flickr site. The 2 sites will work in unison to draw traffic to your internet site.

2. Join a social bookmarking site. Share your favourite sites with people sharing the same interests. Include your site. The social sites are like a specific search engine for many of us. Add the bookmarks to your blog site to raise your net traffic. Add interesting links to important products that the users are searching for. The more fascinating links you have bookmarked the larger your following will become.

3. Start blogging. Join many sites where you comment on the blog content. Add your URL with posting. Remember you are commenting on your posts so remain concentrated on the subject since you do not need your posting to be deleted or considered as spam. You would like to appear informed and somebody others can trust.

4. Use forum signatures for promotion of your internet site with a live link. Use topics with great info and link them back to your sties. The more info you give the readers the more they will depend on you for your new information. They will return continually to read what you are posting.

5. Add widgets, themes, and extension to your internet site. There are lots of free additions that will augment your internet site. Make your internet site fascinating rather than the common boring internet site. Make your site user friendly and exciting. Users want to see and experience new things, give it to them with your internet site.

6. Use your pals to understand your business and have them help spread the gospel about your website. They can use their personal blogs, web sites, and contacts to raise your website traffic.
